Most people would get offended by being called a “cheap date”, but not me… when the cheap date means a night out at the movies for only $6.52. Yes, you heard that right. Tonight, me and my hunny bunny are going to see Gone Girl as Cineplex Silver City for a whopping $6.52. How did we swing 2 adult general admission tickets for such an amazing bargain? Easily… and you can too!
Cineplex has a long-standing policy of charging discounted admission on Tuesdays. Years ago, in conjunction with Telus, you could get in the door for a super low price on Telus Tuesdays. That partnership is long over, but the savings continue. At our local Cineplex SilverCity theatre, general admission tickets will generally run you $12.25 per adult. On Cineplex Tuesdays, those same tickets cost only $7.25. A steal, right? Wrong!
To sweeten the deal, Cineplex offers SCENE Members an additional 10% off Tuesday admission. That brings the tickets down to $6.52 each!
But wait… there’s more savings to be had! When you’re on your weekly grocery shopping runs, keep a keen out for products that offer free movie deals. This is how we scored an entirely FREE movie ticket, bringing out total cheap movie night admission for to adults down to only $6.52. General Mills often partners with Cineplex, offering free movie passes on specially marked products, including a wide variety of breakfast cereal, granola bars, lunchbox snacks, yogurt, and packaged dinner mixes, among other products that are staples in most family’s pantry. With the code on the inside of the box, we logged onto the Cineplex website, bought our tickets online, and will be happily skipping the box office lineup.
With all the money we saved, we’ll head right over to the concession stand for some nice buttery popcorn… also at a 10% discount, courtesy of our SCENE Membership. Now that’s what I call a delicious deal!
